My Second Figure – Pebble Boy

Lava Kid, now let loose upon the world, is apparently living a nice life on the ocean floor near a thermal vent.

I was ready to set myself a second challenge, can I sculpt multiples of the same shape?


Doodling down a simple shape, reminiscent of a Nintendo character pose, I saw a pebble on my bookshelf taken from the beach.

The pebble has an interesting colour which would be simple to adapt onto a characters body scheme. I sculpted the clay and painted.

I felt happy with the results. The body shapes were consistent enough to be recognisably related.

Definite progress made. I was happy, calling Lava Kid for a visit I got the family together for a picture.
